Thomas Richer

With great sadness we'd like to announce that Thomas A. Richer passed away after his courageous fight with cancer on June 9th, 2015.

Born to Marcel and Catherine (Fox) Richer, he was the fifth of 7 children. He graduated from Tupper Lake High School, later going on to a trade school in Troy, Ohio for welding, where he met his future bride Diann Gannon. He was a loving husband and wonderful father.

Tom leaves behind his wife of thirty years, Diann, his daughter Melissa Lewis, her fiancé` Bryan Richmond, two grand children; Justin Sheldon and DeAnna Lewis and a great granddaughter Natalie Sheldon. He is also survived by Monica (Dick) Parent, Anne (Dave) Munn, Gerald Richer, Mike (Eileen) Richer, Marcella Richer (Mark Rule) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his oldest sister Rita Short and a sister in law Susan Rider.

A graveside service was held Saturday, June 13th at St. Alphonsus cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider High Peaks Hospice.
