Rena M. 'Grenier' LaPierre

Rena M. LaPierre, 90, of Tupper Lake passed away Friday October 25, 2013 at Mercy Living Center where she had resided for the past two years.

Born August 15, 1923 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Raymond and Flora (Plusquellec) Grenier. Rena was married to Robert LaPierre on December 1, 1945 at St. Alphonsus church. He died May 30, 1990. Mrs. LaPierre was a waitress for many years at several local restaurants including the T.L. Diner, Elite and Masons.

She is survived by three sons; Wayne, Stephen and Brian, two daughters; Shiela Reandeau and Susan Rice. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, a son Kevin, one grandson, a daughter in law Nancy Gonyea LaPierre, three brothers; Clifford, Leonard and Raymond and one sister Freda Roux.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, October 26th at Holy Name Church. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad.
