Overland Park, KS

Michael P. Davies (Mike), age 87, Overland Park, KS, (formerly of Tupper Lake) passed away on November 5, 2026 after a long illness.

Mike was born June 29, 1939 in Syracuse, NY, son of Charles and Olga Nadelen) Davies. He served three years in the Air Force. After discharge, he worked for General Electric in Syracuse. He moved to Tupper Lake where he worked for Niagara Mohawk/National Grid first in maintenance and ultimately retiring as a line foreman. After his retirement from National Grid, he worked at the Tupper Lake Golf Course. As with everything he did, he took great pride in making the fairways "look the best they could look".

He was an avid sportsman, playing and watching sports of any kind. He played softball and basketball into his 40's. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Dodgers fan and you would often see him wearing a hat or shirt bearing those logos, names or colors. In later years, he was happiest snowmobiling and grooming for the Childwold Snopackers and puttering in his garage, keeping his snowmobiles and cars polished to a shine.

With his outgoing personality and smile, he was a friend to everyone he met. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, whether they asked or just if he noticed someone struggling. He leaves a huge hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Olga Davies. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rosanne (Delair) of Overland Park, KS; his son, Mark (Samantha) Davies of Tupper Lake; stepson William (Lara) Facteau of Danville, CA; stepdaughter Bobbi Jo Facteau of Salt Lake City, UT; sister Ann (Davies) Morgillo of Minoa, NY; brothers-in-law Gary (Karla) Delair of Lee, MA and Charles (Ann) Delair of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren McKenna Kelly, Joshua Facteau, Krystal Melanson, William Facteau. Jr., Clay (Josie) Facteau, Bradley Facteau, Chase Facteau and Ava Facteau; great-granddaughter Sadie Melanson and great-grandson Kameron Facteau, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be on November 10th from 5-7 at Frary Funeral Home in Tupper Lake, NY. There will be a Celebration of Life at St. Alphonsus Church on November 11th at 10 AM with graveside service immediately following at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
