Lorena M 'Martin' Murphy

Lorena M. Murphy, 85, of Tupper Lake passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

Born October 16, 1930 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Roy and Mildred (Bishop) Martin. Mrs. Murphy attended local schools and married Patrick Murphy on May 10, 1950. He pre-deceased her in 2002. Mrs. Murphy was employed at Sunmount DDSO retiring as a Unit Supervisor. She was a member of the Tupper Lake volunteer rescue squad for over 25 years. For many years, she taught ceramics classes and also enjoyed oil painting.

She is survived by her daughter Tina Baker and her husband Larry of Tupper Lake. Sisters; Alma Boulanger, MaryLou Rabideau and her husband Nelson, Sherry Dufrain and Bonni Lee Harvard and her husband Harold. She was pre-deceased by her husband and a son Donald.

Calling hours are scheduled for Saturday, May 21 from 10:00 - 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at noon at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake.
