Kenneth Gordon LaVair

Kenneth G LaVair 75 of 41 Main Street Apartment 2, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday April 19th.

Kenneth was born on June 14th, 1938 in St. Regis Falls, New York. He was the son of, Alfred LaVair and Ida St. Germaine LaVair. He attended school at St. Regis Falls, NY and Saranac Lake, NY, and was in the Vietnam war. On Feb. 18th, 1969 he married Doris Benware. Kenneth worked as a Collision expert/painter for Steve Day, Hesseltine's Upstate Auto, Mark Counter, and Duso's. He enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, Bowling, Hunting and auto racing.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina LaVair Tarbox of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, his son, James G. LaVair of Tupper Lake, NY, and a brother, Melvin LaVair, of Nashua, New Hampshire. He has Five grandchildren, Amanda Tarbox Delauter and Craig Hutchinson of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Trever Tarbox and Travis Hutchinson of Zullinger, Pennsylvania, and Kenneth LaVair III, of Tupper Lake, NY. He also had Six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Benware LaVair and son Kenneth LaVair Jr., and 6 brother's and 2 sister's.

There will be no calling hours at the request of the deceased. There will be a graveside service on Thursday April 24th at 11:30 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake, NY. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Kenneth's memory are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue squad, or the Wounded Soldier Project.
