Gerryanne Spring Obituary (1929 - 2026)

It is with a heavy heart we commemorate the remarkable life of an extraordinary woman, Gerryanne Spring, fondly known as Gigi, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2026. Born on January 15, 1929, in Fort Edward, NY, Gerryanne was the embodiment of loyalty, adventure, and generosity. She was a spirited soul whose radiant smile and vibrant energy could light up any room. Gerryanne was a devoted daughter to her parents, Gerald and Anne Lewis, who preceded her in death. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Spring. She has two daughters, Therese Spring-Robinson (Gene Robinson) and Jacqueline Caruso( Phillip Caruso) and her "adopted" daughter Lori Sovie(Gary Sovie). She is survived by her five grandchildren, Alyssa Payne (Bill Payne), Jeremy Caruso ( Mary Caruso), Dr. Chandra Spring-Robinson (Jeff Huynh), Joshua Caruso, Flannery Spring-Robinson (Sebastian Theilenberg) and eight great grandchildren, Drew Caruso, Cole Caruso, Cadence Payne(fiance Connor Scalzo), Delia Payne, Rowan Caruso, Olivia Caruso, Cormac Huynh-Robinson, and Aurelia Huynh-Robinson. Her nieces Ellen McEntee(Glenn McEntee), Robin Shea, Kim Carter(Butch Carter). She is also predeceased by a sister Gloria Clear, and is survived by a sister Lynn Shea(Tom Shea). She found her life's passion in teaching, touching countless lives during her tenure at Hudson Falls Central School before her retirement in 1995. She lived most of her life in Fort Edward, moving to Ogdensburg, NY in 2017 to be closer to family. Gigi lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with a particular love for travel. She made trips to Alaska, Hawaii, France, Russia, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico, and road trips across the US. Her most cherished journey was the one she embarked on with her family. Gigi was passionate about her family, never missing any event, big or small, involving her grandchildren/great grandchildren. She believed, quite simply, that there was no one better than her family. She enjoyed great food and great wine (just a splash) with her friends and family. Gigi left a profound impact on all those fortunate enough to know her. She was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and humanity, teaching us all the value of living fully, loving generously, and embracing every adventure. Her legacy and love for Jesus is a testament to a life well-lived, filled with joy, love, and endless adventures. Her family would like to thank all the staff and resident's at St. Joseph's for their compassionate care of our Gigi. There will be a celebration of life on June 27th, 2026 at the St. Joseph's Nursing Home in the chapel, Ogdensburg, NY.
