Gary Stickles

Gary Stickles of Potsdam, passed away on September 5, 2026. Born to Stanley and Shirley (Cappiello) Stickles on November 28, 1955, in Malone, NY. Graveside service will be held privately at Morningside Cemetery, Malone.

Gary's creative passion found an outlet in his love for painting outdoor scenes. Gary also had a keen interest in poetry and music, often found playing his drums with a rhythm that echoed his heartbeat. He was a dedicated collector of medicine memorabilia and records - a reflection of his fascination for history and his long-standing career in the pharmaceutical industry. After graduating from Franklin Academy in 1974 and obtaining his associate degree from North Country Community College, Gary dedicated 40 years of his life to serving his community as a Store Manager. He worked for Fays, Rite Aide, and Walgreens in the Potsdam and Canton areas , where his compassionate nature and professional acumen were highly respected.

Retiring in his beloved town of Potsdam, Gary found joy in the simple things in life. He is survived by his brothers Randall (Julie) Stickles of Yuma, Arizona and Barry (Noreen Poirier) Stickles of North Bangor, along with his nieces and nephews. He never married, but found companionship in his significant other for more than 20 years, Jeannie Fallon of Massena. Their bond was a testament to Gary's warm and loving nature. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Shirley Stickles.
