EttaRae 'Morgan' Stanton Obituary (1933

Etta Rae Stanton, 82, of Route 22B in Morrisonville, formerly of Long Lake, NY went to be with Jesus and to be reunited with her husband and parents on March 23, 2016. She was born in Potsdam, NY, July 26, 1933 to Rev. Ray L. and Marion (Blodgett) Morgan.After graduating in 1950 from Ellenburg Central School, she moved with her family to Long Lake, NY when her father answered God's call to be the Pastor of the Long Lake Wesleyan Church. It was there she met and fell in love with DuBois (Buck) Stanton. They were married September 8, 1951.She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, as well as, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Russell and Velda Bissell.She is survived by three Sons; David (Denise Martinez) of Rutland VT and Lady Lake, FL., Howe (Sandra) of South Glens Falls, NY, and Timothy (Beth) of Morrisonville, NY. Five grandchildren Sarah (Jeff), Matthew, Jennifer (Derek), Morgan, and Nathanael, as well as, eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers; James (Faye) Morgan of West Chazy, NY, Roger (Cheryl) Morgan of Lisbon, NY and Brooksville, FL, and Claude Morgan of Cadyville, NY, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and two very special friends, Dennis & Doris Seymour of Morrisonville, NY.There will be a celebration of Etta Rae's life on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Friends and family may gather from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Long Lake Wesleyan Church in Long Lake, NY. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am and committal service in Long Lake Cemetery to follow.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country in Etta Rae's memory. Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake.
