Funeral services for Dorothy J. Rivers, 86, of Ogdensburg, NY will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Ingersol officiating. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Spring at the Campbell (Flackville) Cemetery.
Mrs. Rivers passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Dorothy J. Rivers was born on September 14, 1938 in Bucks Bridge, NY. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Flora (Gibbons) Peterson. She was a graduate of Madrid-Waddington High School, class of 1957. She married the late Arthur Rivers on January 8th, 1962 in New Jersey. Together they owned and operated Art's Body Shop on the Pray Rd. in Ogdensburg. She was an avid N.Y. Yankee fan.

She is survived by her children, Timothy (Judy Hinman), Kathryn Rice (Rick Bradley), Terry and step-sons Scott (Tammy Cutler) and Gregory. Dorothy leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven and step-daughter, Pamela Matott and nine siblings.
