Dorothy T. Peterson

Dorothy T. Peterson, age 87, of Little Falls, NY, and formerly of Gouverneur, NY, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral services. Burial will take place at Flackville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg, NY.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael Peterson of Richville, NY; a sister, Gladys Parker of Little Falls, NY; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Rivers of Ogdensburg, NY; and several nieces, including her special niece, Kathleen Mowers of Salisbury Center, NY, as well as nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Spencer and Mary (Devitt) Cranston, and her sister, Mary Smith.

Dorothy was born on October 9, 1937, in Garnerville, NY, to the late Spencer and Mary Cranston. She graduated from Haverstraw High School in Haverstraw NY, in 1955 and later attended one year of college. Dorothy married the love of her life, Harold F. Peterson, on April 27, 1975. He predeceased her on February 12, 2000. Dorothy had a long and fulfilling career, beginning at Wyeth Pharmaceutical Company in 1955, and retiring as an Administrative Secretary in 1994.
