Dorothy Hanulec

HERMON- Dorothy Hanulec, age 98, passed away on March14, 2025 at Gouverneur Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 19,2025 at 11AM at the Hermon Methodist Church with Rev. Martha Helmer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 10AM to 11AM, burial will follow the service in the Hermon Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on November 20, 1926 in Hemon, NY the daughter of the late Volney and Hazel Jennings Blandin. She graduated from Hermon High School in 1943. She married Carl J. Hanulec on January 27, 1962.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years, a son, Carl Jr., of Hermon, a daughter Elizabeth Hanulec of Ogdensburg. Dorothy was employed at Fischer Appliance Sales, East Northport Fuel Company, Boston's Shoe Store in Massena, St. Lawrence County Dept. of Social Services, and as a receptionist at the Historical Society Museum in Elizabethtown. Dorothy lived in Long Island for more than 20 years bore moving to Hermon.

Dorothy enjoyed attending spirituality fairs, doing stained glass, researching geneology and most often could be seen doing her favorite thing which was to read.
