Dawn M. Ogrodnik

Dawn Marie Ogrodnik, age 58, of Harrisville, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Samaritan Medical Center. Burial will take place at the Garrison Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Harrisville.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Moore Bradway and her husband David, of Kaysville, UT; her mother, Joan Ogrodnik, of Pitcairn; her granddaughter, Sage Bradway; her brother, Chris Ogrodnik, of Pitcairn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her son, Shawn Ogrodnik and her father, Douglas Ogrodnik.

Dawn was born on August 29, 1967, in Dover, New Hampshire, the daughter of Douglas and Joan Bassett Ogrodnik. She graduated from Harrisville Central School in 1985. She studied psychology at the University of Houston, then went on to Canton ATC where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing. She continued her education at SUNY Potsdam where she studied creative writing. Dawn worked as a registered nurse at the Carthage Area Hospital, Clifton-Fine Hospital, and Gouverneur Hospital before her diagnosis with metastatic breast cancer.

She enjoyed time with her family and expressed her creativity through painting, poetry, and other arts. A lifelong shutterbug, she even ran her own photography business for a time. She loved wandering the backroads, taking in the beauty of nature and searching for the perfect subject. She was a strong and steady presence in the lives of those who loved her, and she carried a quirky, creative spirit that made her one of a kind. Her creativity and strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
