Dakotah "Coty" D. Holmes Obituary (1981 - 2024)

Dakotah "Coty" D. Holmes was born on April 27, 1981, in Malone, NY, to Maureen Lewis and passed away on May 26, 2024, from a short but courageous battle with cancer. He graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, NY, with a degree in culinary arts. He worked at various restaurants in the area. He was a big man and his heart was just as big. He loved people and would talk to anyone he would meet. He loved to cook and hang out playing cards with his friends and family. Dakotah also enjoyed old cars and had a passion for anything skulls. He is survived by his mother and her companion, Bill Brunelle; his sister and best friend, Desiree'; chosen brothers, Travis Marlowe and Scott McCray; grandmother, Martha Latreille; a special aunt, Joylynn (Craig) Prue; a cousin, Haily (David) Secore; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and also all his facebook friends. He was predeceased by a maternal grandfather, Tony Marceau and paternal grandparents, Homer and Carol Holmes. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Frary Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 530 E. Main Street, Malone.
