Becky Dotte

Bethany A. (Abar) Dotte, age 65 of Malone, NY passed away unexpectedly on January 19th, 2025 with family present. She was born in Ogdensburg, NY on October 22nd, 1959. By her side for 34 years was her husband, John Dotte. After many years together, they were married on her birthday on October 22nd, 2004.

Bethany was a proud mother and grandmother. She is survived by her five children and five grandchildren, with one more on the way. Surviving are her son Joe Binion and his wife Suzanne of Massena; son Nathan Binion of Malone; daughter Bambi Cohen of Ogdensburg; son Cory Binion and fiancé Kayla Sochia of Massena; and her youngest, daughter Brittney Gates of Malone. Also surviving are her grandchildren Aaron, Jacob, and Madelyn Binion; Athena Myers; and Leo John Binion; brothers Randy (Linda) Abar of Ogdensburg and Jeff Abar of Ogdensburg; sister Pam Love of Ogdensburg; sister-in-law Cheryl Abar of Morristown; mother-in-law Anna Dotte of Moreau, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Mary Jo (Amo) Downey and step-father Joe Downey of Ogdensburg; sister Angie Premo of Ogdensburg; brother Doug Abar of Morristown; and good friend Dan Ross of Ogdensburg.

She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and later worked at United Helpers Nursing Home and as a Home Health Aide. Throughout her life, "Becky" loved spending time with friends and family playing cards and dice, listening to music (especially Cher, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette), laughing, and enjoying one another's company. Those that knew her best can attest to her love of eagles and now she can soar with them.

There are no services and friends and family will celebrate her life at a later date.
